Laura Itkonen

Laura Itkonen (b. 1981) is a designer and artist living and working in Helsinki. Itkonen creates visually complex and tangible architectural ceramics and sculptural design objects. Itkonen graduated from Aalto University, School of Art and Design in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Applied Art and Design. Itkonen works in the Studio she founded in 2016.

Sculptural Series is an on-going collection of collectible design objects, small decorative porcelain jars bringing together art and function. The artist plays with contrasts, colors, and their combinations, utilizing various techniques that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern casting methods, including 3D printing. 

Wall Sculptures inspire with their architectural and sculptural features and their enchanting color scheme. Each wall sculpture is a unique work of art.
