Alma Jantunen graduated from the Wetterhoff School of Crafts and Design as a glass artisan, or glassblower, in 1996. Together with Johannes Rantasalo, she founded a glass studio, Lasisirkus, in Nuutajärvi in 1999. Lasisirkus was awarded Ornamo's Artisan of the Year award in 2007 and the Finnish Crafts Organization's Taito Award in 2016. In 2021, Alma Jantunen was honored with the Posti Art Award. She draws inspiration from traditional methods used by Italian and Finnish glass masters and currently lives and works in the Nuutajärvi glass village, approximately 170 kilometers from Helsinki.

Bukeda vases are hand-blown and therefore unique. There may be slight variations in color and size.
