Camilla Vuorenmaa The Sea Separates Us Book
The publication presents an exhibition by Camilla Vuorenmaa (b. 1979), recipient of the Fine Arts Academy of Finland Prize, at EMMA in spring 2016.
Camilla Vuorenmaa uses a combination of painting and carving on wood. The work is on display at Vuorenmaa's exhibition in EMMA. Vuorenmaa graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts department of painting in 2005 and in her work unites painting and carving.
The exhibition was photographed by the museum's photographer Ari Karttunen. The book includes a foreword by Antti Linnovaara, an essay by Pilvi Kalhama on Vuorenmaa's latest works and an interview with the artist by Tiina Penttilä that sheds light on Vuorenmaa's practice and themes. The texts in this book are written in Finnish, English and Swedish.
