Chiharu Shiota Tracing Boundaries Book

This book introduces the internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Chiharu Shiota (b.1972, Japan),
taking a closer look at her artistic practice and the meanings behind her new exhibition at EMMA. 
Tracing Boundaries is a maze of red threads that invites the viewer to step inside her installation and embark on a journey within themselves.

Chiharu Shiota is the fourth invited artist in a series of exhibitions organized jointly by EMMA and the Saastamoinen Foundation.
In this series a new work is commissioned annually from a visionary contemporary artist for the foundation’s art collection.
