Heini Riitahuhta – Hexagon

Ceramic artist and designer Heini Riitahuhta (b. 1975) is well-known for her designs for Arabia and her distinctive style has been a hallmark of their products since 1998. Riitahuhta earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 2002 and has been part of Arabia’s Art Department ever since. She is also a member of the Art Department Association.

The unique pieces of the Hexagon ceramic series are handcrafted by casting high-fired white stoneware. Each object is individually decorated using a combination of techniques: colored glazing, hand painting, serigraphy, and monotype. The wall pieces are mounted on mdf boards, and all works are signed.
