Helena Tynell (1918–2016) is best known as the designer of Riihimäki Lasi Oy (1946–1976). His career was exceptionally diverse and international at the time. He had a long career in Germany as a lighting designer and has also worked in Sweden and the United States.

This work by Uta Laurén has been published in connection with the Finnish Museum of Glass exhibition (May 18 – October 28, 2018).
