Elli Hukka - Bubbles Earring, L

Elli Hukka (b. 1982) is a Helsinki-based jewellery artist with deep roots in the forests and lakes of Eastern Finland. She has a background in jewellery design, which she studied at the Lahti Institute of Design and Aalto University. Elli runs her own business in Helsinki, and for over a decade she has worked both as a goldsmith and in contemporary jewellery. Her work ranges from silver and gold jewellery to more recent textile pieces, wearable objects, and installations.

The Bubbles Jewellery Series includes earrings in various sizes, a ring, and a pendant. The pieces are made of silver (925) or yellow-toned brass.

The jewellery consists of a larger and a smaller oval-shaped ring. The rings are formed without using a ruler, so the stated size may vary slightly. The L-size dangling earrings measure approximately 8–9 cm from the top of the hook to the bottom of the piece. The surface of the rings is hammered to create a lively, textured look.

The jewellery is handcrafted in a small artisan workshop and boutique in Kamppi, Helsinki.
