Tapio Wirkkala designed products for Rosenthal porceline factory, where of one is the likeable and famous Bag vase (1977). The vase is still a best seller.

Wirkkala played with oppositions and used humor as a spice. He had a good sense for different materials: this vase is glazed both on the outside and inside. A skillfully built wrinkeled bag serves as a flower vase, however it is an eye catcher even as it is.
